Evidence & trust

Intelligence is only useful when the reasoning can be inspected.

Telaran is designed to show what was observed, what it may mean, who reviewed it, and what remains unknown.

01 / THE EVIDENCE MODEL

Four states that prevent certainty theater.

A source can be authoritative and still be old. Repetition can look like corroboration while tracing back to one origin.

Confirmed

The source, date, identity, and relationship type have been reviewed for the stated use.

Pending

The observation is useful enough to investigate, but not strong enough to present as fact.

Contradictory

Sources disagree or the evidence supports more than one plausible interpretation.

Expired

A once-valid fact or relationship needs to be checked again before it guides action.

02 / ANALYST BOUNDARIES

What Telaran will not do.

  • Infer friendship, trust, political affiliation, or private intent from public activity.
  • Present a post or an open form as representative community opinion.
  • Turn a private conversation into client-facing proof without corroboration.
  • Hide source age, coverage limits, corrections, or contradictory evidence.
  • Claim universal real-time coverage of networks, jurisdictions, or communities.
03 / REVIEWABLE BY DESIGN

The map is a decision aid, not a verdict.

Source permissions travel with the record. Storage, transformation, display, and retention limits stay attached to the evidence.

Corrections are preserved. A changed or withdrawn source does not disappear from the reasoning trail without explanation.

Analysts remain accountable. Every published finding carries a reviewer, review state, and date.
